Robert A. Lugiano Sr.

May 28, 1944 ~ May 11, 2022 (age 77)


Robert Allen Lugiano, Sr., 77, of Biddeford, Maine passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 11, 2022. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Robson) Lugiano.

Bob was a 1962 graduate of G.A.R. High School and went on to attend and graduate from the Salvation Army School for Officer Training in 1965. He served 21 years as an officer in the Salvation Army reaching the rank of Major. His most recent job was as office manager for C.M. Cimino, Inc., which he retired from in 2019.

Upon his retirement, Bob could be found watching his favorite Hallmark movies and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved to watch the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers.  Bob was a big supporter of youth sports. He was heavily involved in both the Wilkes-Barre and Biddeford Little Leagues serving as president and coach for many years. Bob also volunteered and coached youth basketball in Biddeford. He also was a public address announcer for the Biddeford School system.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Judith. Surviving are his children, Kimberly Searcy and husband, Brandon; Robert Jr. and wife, MaryAnn; Jeffrey and wife, Cheryl Ann; Jill Rizzuto and husband, Peter; Joseph Young; Christopher and wife, Chelsea; Jeremy; brothers Joseph and wife, Hannah Mary; Francis “Bud”; Ronald; Richard; William; 12 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held at the Old Orchard Beach Salvation Army on Saturday, May 21st from 10-11 am, immediately followed by a memorial service at 11am. Address for the service: 2 Sixth Street, Old Orchard Beach, Maine, 04064.
