Thomas Clancy

January 24, 1958 ~ May 7, 2022 (age 64)

Thomas J. Clancy, 64, of Acton, Maine, died on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Southern Maine Healthcare in Biddeford. Thomas was born on January 24, 1958, in Lynn, MA, to John Clancy and Dorothy (Capobianco) Clancy. At the time of his passing Tom had been residing with his extended family in Acton.

Everyone knew Thomas as Tommy growing up. He loved music, especially Kiss and Elvis and enjoyed watching movies - most of the classics. He had the biggest heart and cared so much for his family. Tommy could always cheer people up with his jokes and contagious laughter. He just enjoyed making people smile. When Tommy was younger, he spent a lot of time with his niece, Angela, and nephew, Robert Jr. There were several Christmases where he would dress up at Santa and surprise the kids at the door with candy and gifts. He would let them sit on his lap and ask them what they wanted for Christmas, which is a fond memory. Tommy loved going on family adventures riding in his favorite vehicle, the classic station wagon, where he and the family visited places like York Zoo, Cape Cod, and Story Land. No matter how much time passed, Tommy would always recall these trips and tell stories of all of the fun he had. It is memories like these we all cherish most. He is deeply loved and sadly missed by his family.

Tom had the biggest and purest heart, he would say Hi and smile at everyone he passes, always trying to brighten someone's day. He volunteered weekly in the community with his day program and was always offering a helping hand. He also loved spending time with family and friends, listening to music, camping and taking family trips.

Thomas was predeceased by his parents. He leaves a sister, Joanne Myott and her husband Robert Sr, his nephew, Robert Myott Jr and his wife Katelyn, his niece, Angela Lannigan and her husband Shawn, and three grandnephews Trevor, Blake, and Damian. He will be greatly missed by Helen and her husband, Raymond Ham, their 3 daughters who thought the world of Tom, Hunter, Ryleigh and Wynter Ham. His best friends were Mark and Linda Mann, he would spend time watching westerns and having many laughs with.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to Pinnacle Health and Rehab Center in Sanford, Maine. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
