Bernard Letourneau

Bernard A. Letourneau, 72, of Lebanon, died at his home on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

Bernard was born on October 24, 1948 to Alphonse and Shirley (Johnstone) Letourneau in Sanford where he grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School in 1968. Following graduation, Bernard enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving for over 10 years. During his enlistment he was stationed at several places including Kansas, Hawaii, Florida and Korea. After completing his term in the military he relocated to Texas where he was employed as an auto mechanic. In 1983 he reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Jane. They lived together in Texas for six years before returning to Maine to be closer to family. After returning to Maine, Bernard was employed for a time as a mechanic before taking a position at Pratt & Whitney where he stayed for many years until his retirement.

Bernard was a quiet man who enjoyed spending time at home with his family and with his dogs, Scooby and Princess. He liked being outdoors, going camping and riding his 4-wheeler. He will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family.

Surviving are his wife, Jane Letourneau of Lebanon; two children, John Letourneau and his wife Jodi of Connecticut and Tammy Letourneau of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Stormi, Dyson, Brady and Jaden Letourneau; two step-children, Angela Stevens and her husband Ryan of Albion, Maine and Scott Dodge and his wife Mary of Franklin, Maine; five step-grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Hunter and Electra Stevens and Hannah Dodge; three siblings, Patty Letourneau of Hollis, Daniel Letourneau of Waterboro and Kathy Stott of Alfred and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements for Bernard will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
