Obituary

Reynold R. Pare, 82, of Alfred,  passed away at Avita in Wells on Thursday, March 11, 2021.  He was born in Sanford on May 16, 1938 a son of the late Roland and Alice (Gould)  Pare.  He was a 1956 graduate of St. Ignatius High School.  He then attended College at Notre Dame  Institute in Alfred for two years.

 

He was a communicant of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish.  He served in the National Guard from 1955-1957.  He was a  member of the Sanford Elks Lodge since 1964, having served in the capacity of Exalted Ruler from 1969 to 1970.   He was a Life Member since February 2004 to the present.  He traveled extensively throughout New England and Canada due to work.  He worked in sales and management for industrial valves, working for New England Pipe Supply and Nelson & Small Inc.  He was a former manager of New England Security, retiring in 1985 due to Multiple Sclerosis.

 

Early hobbies were working for the York County Sheriff’s Department as a Highway Patrolman, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.  Since retiring he enjoyed buying and selling stocks on the computer.

 

He is predeceased by his parents, stepdaughter Denise Tuttle who passed away in 2003.

 

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rita J. Pare, of Alfred, son, Roland Pare of  Georgia, brother, Laurent Pare and his wife, Debbie of Wells, sister, Elaine Pare of Delray Beach, Florida, stepson, Duane Weeks of Rochester, New Hampshire, grandchildren, Mallory and Lawson Pare of Georgia, grandchildren, Malinda and Candace Weeks of Dover Foxcroft, sister in law, Elaine and her husband, Donald Cantin of Sanford.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 21st at 11AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church.  Burial will be at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
