Sherry Brusso

June 23, 1966 ~ January 20, 2021 (age 54)

Obituary

Sherry Brusso, 54, died unexpectedly in her home on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

She was born in Beverly MA, moved to Salem MA as a child, and when she was nine years old, she moved to and attended Sanford schools. She graduated from Sanford High School in 1986.

Sherry is survived by her daughter Jessica Brusso of Sanford, son Brett Brusso, of Sanford; her mother, Jeanne Brusso; sister Christina Brusso, niece Piper Waters, granddaughter Riley Brusso of Sanford, grandson Zander Cornish of Sanford, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. She is also survived by her partner of 23 years, Joseph DelDuca. She was predeceased by her father, Bradford Brusso.

Sherry had an outgoing personality. She loved people and would often perform community service, such as volunteering for the Salvation Army. In her younger years, Sherry was an accomplished basketball player and played for many years, as well as being an Assistant Coach to a traveling team. She also loved sports, and rooted for all the New England teams. She was also an avid WWE fan.

Sherry also loved to cook and would often fantasize about competing in “Guy's Grocery Games.” She was an animal lover, and she absolutely adored her cat, Lucky, that she adopted in 2012. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother to her grandchildren and was affectionately called “Small Nini” by her grandson.

Sherry made friends wherever she went; she had a light in her eyes and a warm smile that lit up a room. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Due to the pandemic, her Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
